Diminishing Water-Intake may have Pragmatic Aspects in Lambs Fed on Pelleted Complete Diet and Reared under Thermo-Neutral Condition

Some basic questions regarding sheep’s ability to tolerate different levels of water intake (WI), especially when fed on a pelleted-complete diet (PCD) and reared under comfortable climatic conditions, are still open. To investigate the direct influence WI in sheep PCD such conditions lambs' physiological (performance, thermal, blood urine) status, 24 healthy male growing Najdi lambs were exposed thermo-neutral three (100%, 67%, 33% their ad libitum or requirement) for 6 weeks. Meteorological, production performance, thermo-physiological, as well urine biochemical measurements, all determined. The obtained findings clearly substantiate that reducing level (p<0.05) produced tangible effects both 67-WI 33-WI lamb groups. However, showed resilience limited availability by inducing proportional responses performances, body temperatures, metabolites, renal function but within homeostatic ranges similar (p>0.05) 100-WI lambs. Results collectively signify diminishing up (fed conditions) would ensure is adequately conserved prevailing scarcity can be implemented without compromising functions. Such applied approaches consequently have pragmatic aspect through improving management required PCD-based which crucial economical animal responsible stewardship. Feasibility studies thereby highly recommended.
